Here are 2 more things that I can use my experience to help lead Waller County going forward.
Infrastructure Improvements: I will seek funding through grants to invest in critical infrastructure projects, such as road repairs, water and sewer systems, and broadband connectivity. For the past two years I have worked closely with rail and transportation stakeholders to promote grants that would fix problematic road-rail crossings or rehabilitate old bridges. Some of the first infrastructure efforts I worked on included pursuing grants to fix old rural water systems where leakage wasted energy, led to lost water, and contributed to erosion and salt accumulation in soils. Projects like these are essential for enhancing our county’s competitiveness, promoting conservation, attracting investments, and improving the quality of life for our residents.
Conservation: I will actively pursue grants and collaborations to protect our natural resources, promote conservation, and pursue efficient flood and water controls. By investing in these types of efforts, we can preserve Waller County’s ecosystems, promote the 2021 county parks master plan, and keep our communities healthy.
