My Plans for Waller County
As County Commissioner for precinct three, I will work tirelessly to represent the interests of our citizens and to ensure our county remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. My motivation for running is rooted in the desire to manage county infrastructure and growth in a way that preserves our institutions, prepares us for the challenges of the coming decades, and respects our taxpayers. Waller County is expected to add between 10,000 and 30,000 rooftops in the coming years. Small towns once well-removed from Houston are quickly turning into suburbs. We cannot be reactive when it comes to new infrastructure like roads and flood control. Anything less will result in the same roads being built and rebuilt over and over again, wasted tax dollars, and emergency management issues. Decisions made today will determine how roads, neighborhoods, and new businesses develop in Katy, Prairie View, and throughout the county.
My priorities as County Commissioner will include supporting our local businesses, improving infrastructure and transportation, enhancing public safety, promoting education and workforce development, and seeking new opportunities for Waller County. I believe in small government, personal responsibility, and a strong commitment to our Constitution, as well as the rule of law. I will also work to reduce government waste and increase transparency and accountability in our county government.
To accomplish this, I will rely on three pillars to work for this county: Experience, Principles, and People. Throughout my career I have advocated for clean water, education, transportation, and small businesses among many other issues, which easily translate to issues facing Waller County. Guiding this experience are my conservative principles. I believe in responsible government led by responsible citizens, a hands-off government allowing its citizens to live their own lives and businesses to conduct their own affairs, and strict stewardship of public funds. Lastly, my faith dictates that the best leaders are servants. As such I will rely on you, the people, so that we might work together to better Waller County and address critical issues.
Fiscal Conservancy
Officials should remember government budgets are public funds belonging to the people.
Liberty
Our U.S. and Texas Constitutions and founding ideals matter. I will not support policies that infringe upon a person’s life, liberty, or their pursuit of happiness.
Infrastructure
The core mission of a commissioner is to oversee county infrastructure and with Waller County’s growth we cannot be reactionary.
Public Safety
I will do all I can to promote public safety in our communities whether that be from lawbreakers or natural disasters
Growth
Texas and Waller County are growing, fast. I will seek to manage our growth by investing in our infrastructure, safeguarding your tax dollars, protecting our residents and their businesses, and reducing congestion and flood concerns
Community
Decisions should be made in the interest of Waller County and its residents.
The Right Way for Waller County
Home to new residents and new development amidst some of Texas’ oldest communities, Waller County straddles the old and the new. How we manage this dichotomy will define our community for years to come. Join us in pursuing The Right Way for Waller County
